Due to the fact that one of the firefighters of the group was hospitalized, Dietrich Angerstein decided to stay in Augsburg and so I became the guide for the musiccorps on their trip to Rothenburg op der Tauber.
We traveled with two buses arriving at Linden at lunchtime.

Rothenburg op der Tauber ist a touristic attraction since they have preserved their medieval appearence with small alleys and framework houses.
The old city is surrounded by an old wall that has been almost completely preserved. Even drugstore chains have to adapt their appearence to the old fashioned environment (KD-photo).

History says, that in the Thirty Years War the town has been beset many times. One of these besetters promised to abandon if there was in town a man able to drink in once a three liter mug of wine.
The major did it and to remeber this event, on the sides of the city clock, on certain hours of the day some figures perform this drinking event again.
Naturally we were all expectant. ...

...meanwhile others bought a nice hat. In the way back to the bus, I met an argentinian family, who were about to take a picture of them. I offered myself to make the picture and also made one with my camera.
On the highway we met a car with all the instruments of a musiccops on his way to Augsburg.
For me, the end of the journey was the main railwaystation in Augsburg, where I had the chance to make a picture of the whole corps.
The dealed chilean wine hasn't arrived yet today.
